The processing of mineral by-products is technically demanding. Dewatering in particular requires robust and permanently reliable systems – often under the harshest environmental conditions, such as abrasion and corrosion, and always in continuous operation.
For Liapor, the focus was on one key requirement: process stability and investment security over decades.
The solution is provided by a BHS belt filter built in 1990: the plant has now been in continuous industrial use at Liapor for 35 years – reliable, efficient and resilient under demanding operating conditions.
The belt filter guarantees:
For Liapor, this means planning reliability, minimised downtime and sustainable use of mineral by-products.
The 35 years of continuous operation are the result of well-thought-out design, robust construction and high-quality manufacturing. And this longevity pays off in many ways, including long-term investment security, reduced replacement investments and resource conservation through long-term use of the plant.
The project shows that sustainability is not only achieved through new technologies, but also through technology that reliably creates value over decades.
