Initial trials with the pocket leaf filter – safe and flexible
Simple, reliable and reproducible – whether in the laboratory or on-site at the customer’s premises: we carry out initial screening tests using the pocket leaf filter (PLF). With a filter area of just 20 cm², the pocket leaf filter is a compact, portable filtration unit for laboratory and field use – and is available in a ‘plug-and-play’ format. Thanks to sight glasses fitted at the top and bottom, cake formation can be monitored directly. With the pocket leaf filter, filtration can be performed using either pressure or vacuum. The filter medium can be changed quickly – and all standard media can be used.
Tests using the pocket leaf filter provide fundamental data on the filterability of a suspension and the general design of a production filter. At the same time, the pocket leaf filter is ideally suited for extracting small quantities of the pure solid or liquid from suspensions.
The pocket leaf filter complies with VDI Guideline 2762 ‘Mechanical solid-liquid separation by cake filtration’.
