Two rubber belt filters for fly ash processing in Singapore

March 20, 2023
Collectively known as Tuas Nexus, the facility is an innovative and sustainable solution to meet Singapore’s long-term solid waste management and used water treatment needs. Tuas Nexus is the integration of the National Water Agency (PUB)’s Tuas Water Reclamation Plant (Tuas WRP) and the National Environment Agency (NEA)’s Integrated Waste Management Facility (IWMF). The “FAW” procedure from system supplier AIK Technik AG is used to treat the fly ash of the waste gases produced in the waste incineration process. BHS-Sonthofen supplied two particularly large rubber belt filters for this purpose.

BHS announces partnership with Soitra

BHS-Sonthofen announced its partnership with Soitra, an Italian supplier of process and packaging equipment for the pharmaceutical, chemical and food industries. The agreement enables customers to purchase high-value technologies for filtration and drying, and benefit from bundled process expertise and after-sales service from a single source.

February in Cologne, the Process Technology division of BHS-Sonthofen will be presenting its current filtration solutions. With more than 440 exhibitors and a large international conference, FILTECH is the largest and most important filtration trade fair worldwide.

Daniel Zeiler – the new head of Recycling Technology

The new year begins with a change at BHS-Sonthofen: Daniel Zeiler will be taking over as the head of Recycling Technology division. He replaces Alfred Weber, who had successfully managed sales for the Recycling Technology division since 2007 and retired at the end of last year.

Volcanic minerals don’t necessarily come to mind when one thinks of juice. And yet they play a role in beverage production: especially perlite serves the juice industry as a filter medium. Harborlite Aegean mines this high-performance mineral in Dikili, Turkey. Perfect granulation is ensured by an impact crusher of type PB 0806 from BHS-Sonthofen – a first for this particular material.

BHS-Sonthofen publishes whitepaper on recycling lithium-ion batteries

The whitepaper addresses various methods for safely processing lithium-ion batteries and the challenges associated with these new technologies. In it, BHS also presents its own new, innovative process that recovers valuable resources such as nickel, cobalt, lithium and copper from batteries and rechargeable batteries. The whitepaper is available to download free of charge on the BHS website.

It was a great and impressive week at bauma 2022: In total, around 3,200 exhibitors from 60 countries and more than 495,000 visitors from over 200 countries attended the world's leading trade fair for construction machinery, building material machines, mining machines, construction vehicles and construction equipment in Munich from October 24 - 30, 2022.
