BHS-Sonthofen receives order for BASF battery recycling plant

BHS-Sonthofen is supplying BASF with a plant for the mechanical reprocessing of lithium-ion batteries into black mass. This marks the third large-scale plant for BHS, with the first one having operated successfully for over a year. As a result, customers can benefit from the combined experience and know-how of BHS, providing them with increased investment security.
Daniel Zeiler – the new head of Recycling Technology

The new year begins with a change at BHS-Sonthofen: Daniel Zeiler will be taking over as the head of Recycling Technology division. He replaces Alfred Weber, who had successfully managed sales for the Recycling Technology division since 2007 and retired at the end of last year.

The whitepaper addresses various methods for safely processing lithium-ion batteries and the challenges associated with these new technologies. In it, BHS also presents its own new, innovative process that recovers valuable resources such as nickel, cobalt, lithium and copper from batteries and rechargeable batteries.
