Mercury contaminated waste harms the environment and presents a risk to human health. To ensure maximum safety, the high-temperature evaporators from our subsidiary AVA prevent volatile mercury from escaping. The solid matter is separated from the mercury in the self-contained, integrated system, which consists of an evaporator, a vacuum, a condensation module as well as a loading and unloading unit.
Whether you are talking about soil, fluorescent lamps or chemical waste, the ultra-efficient high-temperature evaporator produced by our subsidiary AVA separates the highly toxic mercury through the application of heat. And thanks to the closed system design, it is prevented from escaping into the environment. After the input material has been added, it is heated gradually. Water and hazardous materials vaporize and condense in the condensation module. They can be separated by substance or material if required. What are the features that make a technical system ideal for the task of processing mercury contaminated waste? It must be compact, mobile and configured to meet the customer’s specific requirements.
The turnkey systems from our subsidiary AVA can be operated at temperatures of up to 650 °C. Unlike conventional rotary kilns, which experience constant heat loss, our systems are designed for maximum energy efficiency. The result is more material separated with the same amount of energy. Based on your requirements, heating is generated with electricity or contact heat using steam or thermal oil.
