Incinerator bottom ash, fly ash and backfill produce dust and cannot be pumped until they have been treated accordingly. They must first be processed before you can safely dispose of them or use them, for example, as binders in the construction industry or for backfilling. BHS-Sonthofen offers highly efficient, durable technical systems for stabilizing these materials. This includes our single-shaft continuous mixer (type MFKG) equipped with a rubber trough and twin-shaft batch mixer (type DKX).
Fly ash is fine-grained combustion residue that generates lots of dust. To stabilize the ash, water is added to it while in a mixer so that it can be readily pumped. The BHS single-shaft continuous mixer (type: MFKG) is the perfect choice for the job. The self-cleaning rubber trough combines high throughput with low maintenance.
For financial reasons, the overburden produced in mining is often used in backfilling. To make it pumpable and reusable, binding agents, water and, where necessary, other auxiliary materials are typically added. Having a high degree of homogeneity is important to ensure the material can be easily pumped on a consistent basis.
Our twin-shaft batch mixer (type DKX) has proved it can handle this task. Whether you need a single machine or an integrated system with metering and control technology, we design the technical system based on your requirements.
Continuous mixing plant of type MFKG 0728 for production of a suspension of fly and bottom ash. The mixture is then pumped to a landfill.
System for humidifying unwanted dry ash from a power station using a MFKG 0728 unit. In addition, humidified unwanted ash can be fed onto the discharging belt.
Single-shaft continuous mixer of type MFKG 0520 as the centerpiece of a system for humidifying fine materials such as ash and dust from silos.
Effective humidification of ash and dust (fly ash from waste incineration plants and power stations, foundry dust, limestone powder, etc.) with the single-shaft continuous mixer (MFKG)
