In the treatment of amino solutions and other liquids used for gas scrubbing, our fully automatic candle filters (Type CF) have proven themselves worldwide. The filtration systems offer fully automatic and safe operation without any need for manual intervention. This results in a clean liquid.
During gas scrubbing carried out in a so-called scrubber, undesirable substances are separated from gas mixtures in the scrubbing medium. In addition, the scrubbing medium separates solid particles that enter the gas flow due to abrasion. The liquid in the scrubber is continuously regenerated physically and chemically in a partial flow. Solid-liquid separation plays a key role in this process. Due to stricter environmental regulations, demands on the quality of filtrates are increasing – the candle filter meets these requirements reliably.

The oil and gas industry has been benefiting from our turnkey integrated solutions for years. For example, we delivered five filter systems for natural gas production in Iran together with our Iranian sales partner Faris International. These plants perform several process stages required for amine processing. The overall concept helped to optimize the “amine sweetening” process. It comprises three steps: First the amine solution is precleaned in the candle filter (CF), followed by filtration of the hydrocarbons in the activated carbon filter. Residual activated carbon is removed in a police filter in the final step.
