BHS-Sonthofen is responding to changing requirements in the chemical industry and related sectors with a restructured product range for discontinuously operating cartridge filters. For years, the company has been observing an increasing demand for modularized solutions which significantly simplify processing thanks to predefined sizes and components.
“That’s why we decided to offer our candle filters in a standardized range with a variety of modules”, says Managing Director Volker Spies. Customers can choose from 15 different sizes that cover all common applications and market requirements, with filter areas ranging from one to 87 m2. The advantage of this standardization for manufacturers lies in significantly shorter engineering times and thus lower operating costs, all of which are key factors in an industry that is looking for solutions that are both flexible and cost-efficient. In addition, candle filters consume less energy, saving more operating costs.
BHS aims to achieve the most customer-specific design possible for their respective candle filtration solutions. Depending on the requirements, manufacturers can select the matching filter in cooperation with the filtration experts at BHS. They can choose from several expansion options for each module, for example adding piping modules or control solutions. Each machine can thus be extended or adapted at any point in the future. All the individual components are compatible with one another, eliminating the need for further custom modifications.
BHS-Sonthofen Process Technology offers the candle filter in a standardized modular system with a variety of sizes. Customers benefit from reduced engineering times and lower costs.
The candle filter of type CF stands out thanks to its versatility when it comes to process engineering and is typically used for the clarification filtration of liquids with a low solids content.
